1 – Perception Coaching: Training your mind for more joy and contentment.

On a daily basis, you get bombarded with beliefs that train your mind to be dissatisfied and unhappy. Consider that everything in your reality only exists as a perception in your brain. Thus every time you are angry or dissatisfied, it is because of certain beliefs that you are consciously or unconsciously holding onto in your mind, and not because of the action of yourself, another person or a situation.
Your brain interprets events through your beliefs and then forms a specific perception in your mind. This perception is the way your brain perceives reality. This perception is unique to you. While a situation may look clearly black and white to you, it may appear completely gray to another individual. You thus see yourselves, other people and events not as they are, but as your mind perceives it to be through all your beliefs. You could say you get tricked by the way your brain interprets everything around you. Keeping this in mind you will better understand why it is important to acknowledge al your thoughts and feelings, and not to believe any of them that causes you strain or unhappiness.
If you want to change your reality you need to challenge your beliefs through which you perceive the events of life. Another way of looking at it:
Think of everything that happens around you as completely neutral . The most essential thing you can do to take your power back is to change the stories you tell yourself about everythhing that happens around you. This is regarding yourself, other people and situations.
Reflectioneer Coaching thus supports you to:

Why is this essential for your life?
Think about this for a moment: When are you most effective in your job and/or your creative expressions? When do you make the best quality decisions? When your mind is clouded with fearful stories of anger and/or sadness, or when you are more calm and centered?
When your mind creates a drama story from the events playing out, it activates the fight and flight mechanism of your nervous system and the thinking part of your brain (neo-cortex) literally gets skipped in the process. Ever heard someone (or yourself) say with regret after over reacting: I don’t know what came over me then? It is because the person literally was in a position where his or her brain couldn’t think clearly.
Furthermore, when your nervous system go into fight or flight mode, it not only prevents you from thinking clearly, it also shuts down/weakens your immune system. When you are calm and centered your nervous system can relax and your body goes into rest and digest mode. In this mode your immune system gets activated to take proper care of your health.
Thus taking control of your beliefs/thinking patterns are highly beneficial for:

It is about honouring the movements of your soul on your journey in life. There is no fixed recipe or answer as the journey of every individual differs. For some it is a few small changes and for others it might be one or a few major changes. For example, some individuals find a new spark within their current career and others need to make a career change. Or some individuals find a way to deepen the relationship with their partner, and for others honouring the aliveness of their soul calls for leaving the relationship. What your soul needs may be small or large, and it takes courage to step into the unknown!
The role of Reflectioneer Coaching is to hold a safe and non-judgemental space while supporting you to explore the movements of your soul. It is about supporting you with your unique spiritual journey and not about imposing any belief system on you.

In a busy and noisy world sitting with yourself in silence can seem impossible! Yes sitting with your thoughts and feelings is a scary thing for most people so no need to be hard on yourself. Reflectioneer Meditation is very simple and accessible to individuals as it is stripped from the many bells and whistles so often found in spiritual trainings.
Science has shown that just a few minutes of meditation a day activates healthy neuroplasticity supporting your brain to create new pathways for joy and contentment. Meditation also helps to calm your nervous system and bringing your body back into a state of homeostasis (balance). It is in this state that your immune system is activated and functioning optimally. Besides a healthy diet this is the most important thing to do for yourself on your journey of health and healing.
Most people in the west bring their goal orientated consumerism to the meditation cushion. This generally leads to more frustration and can further add to an individual’s sense of failure/not being good enough. It is thus important to get constructive guidance that your meditation is orientated in a healthy way and not hijacked by your self-critical thinking patterns.
4 – Plant-based Health Coaching: Supporting your body for joy and contentment

Personally, I’m very passionate about the intelligence of nature doing it’s healing magic in your body while you put mostly whole plant foods through your digestive system. It is very simple: it is about eating in harmony with the abundance that nature provides through a variety of fruits, vegetables, legumes, and grains. The secret is in the word whole. In every piece of plant food, there is a variety of nutrients, phytochemicals, fibers, minerals working together like a symphony in your body. I worked as a coach at an Integrative Medical Centre for over a year and this is the way of eating we recommended and supported our cancer patients and chronic disease patients with.
Currently, there is no way of eating across the world that has proven to be as effective as the whole food plant-based way of eating for:
- heart health and even reversing heart disease
- reversing type 2 diabetes and drastically improving insulin levels of type 1 diabetes
- weight loss without portion control or calorie counting
- cancer prevention and survival.

Please also note that going on a whole food plant based way of eating can make an impact on your blood pressure and blood sugar levels fairly quickly and therefore you need to be monitored by your medical practitioner for adjusting your medications as soon as you start to make this radical shift in your lifestyle. Most people manage to either radically reduce their medication or completely go off it with the help of their medical practitioner.
